Our curriculum, My Father’s World, is based on The Charlotte Mason method, with a firm belief that the child is a person and we must educate that whole person, not just his mind. A Charlotte Mason education is three-pronged: in her words, “Education is an Atmosphere, a Discipline, a Life.” This curriculum not only meets but exceeds the South Carolina’s education learning standards.
We have a strong academic focus but do not stress the child; instead, we create a love for learning and excitement in education.
Our classrooms are designed to meet each child where they are at, recognizing that all children are not at the same level in their development.
We teach the child to interact with concepts and ideas rather than simply memorize facts, equipping them with real-life problem-solving skills.
Children learn best when their social and emotional needs are met; therefore, we strive to provide an environment that creates a strong sense of love and security.
We desire to show each child that they have value in our eyes and the eyes of God.
